Band 7 Answer
I would like to talk about a person I know who has a different cultural background. Her name is Maria, and she is from Spain. I met her at school, and we became good friends. I like talking to her because I learn a lot about her culture, such as traditional food, festivals, and customs. She is very friendly and open, and I enjoy sharing my own culture with her too. Spending time with Maria has helped me understand and respect people from different countries. I think it is interesting to learn how people live in other parts of the world.
Band 8 Answer
The person I want to describe is Maria, a friend of mine who comes from Spain and has a different cultural background. I met her at school, and we quickly became close friends. I find her perspective on life fascinating because it is shaped by her culture, traditions, and lifestyle. Talking to her has taught me a lot about Spanish festivals, cuisine, and social customs. She is very open-minded and curious about my culture as well, which makes our conversations enjoyable and enlightening. Knowing Maria has broadened my understanding of cultural diversity and helped me appreciate the differences and similarities between people from various countries. I also feel that interacting with someone from a different background encourages tolerance, empathy, and a more global outlook on life.
