IELTS Speaking Part 2 – Instructions

• The examiner will give you paper and a pencil for note-making.

• Then, you must speak continuously for 1–2 minutes on the topic.

I want to talk about a time when I had to search for information for a school project. I needed to find details about climate change and its effects. I used the internet, books, and articles to gather accurate information. At first, it was a bit confusing because there was so much information available. However, I tried to focus on reliable sources and organize the information clearly. This process helped me understand the topic better and prepare a good project. Searching for information taught me to be more careful and thorough when learning something new.

A time I searched for information was when I had to prepare a detailed research project on climate change. I used a variety of sources, including online databases, scientific journals, and books, to collect accurate and relevant information. Initially, it was somewhat overwhelming because there was a huge amount of data, some of which was contradictory or unreliable. I carefully selected credible sources, took notes, and organized the information logically. This process not only helped me gain a deeper understanding of the subject but also improved my research and analytical skills. Searching for information taught me the importance of being meticulous, critical, and organized, especially when handling complex topics.
