IELTS Speaking Part 2 – Instructions

• You will have 1 minute to think and make notes on the topic.

• The examiner will give you paper and a pencil for note-making.

• Then, you must speak continuously for 1–2 minutes on the topic.

• Usually, this is around 10–12 sentences spoken naturally..

I want to talk about a conversation I had with my teacher last year. We discussed my future career plans, and I found it very helpful and motivating. She gave me useful advice about choosing subjects and improving my skills. I felt inspired and confident after the talk because she encouraged me to work hard and follow my goals. The conversation also helped me see things from a different perspective and think more clearly about my future. It was an impressive experience that I still remember.
