Band 7 Answer

One English lesson that I really enjoyed was during my second year at university. It took place in our language classroom, which was bright and comfortable, making it easier to focus.

In this lesson, we learned about debating skills. Our teacher explained how to make strong arguments and how to express opinions clearly and politely. Then, we had to participate in a debate on a topic related to environmental issues.

I liked this lesson because it was very interactive and practical. It helped me improve not only my vocabulary but also my confidence in speaking English. Before that, I used to be shy about expressing my ideas, but this lesson encouraged me to speak up and listen to others.

Overall, it was one of the most useful and fun lessons I’ve had, and it motivated me to practice speaking English more.

Band 8 Answer

An English lesson that left a lasting impression on me was during my final year of high school. The class was held in a modern language lab equipped with computers and multimedia resources, which made the learning experience engaging and dynamic.

In this particular lesson, we focused on creative writing and storytelling techniques. Our teacher encouraged us to think imaginatively and express ourselves with vivid descriptions and emotions. She also introduced us to famous English writers and analyzed some of their works.

What made this lesson so enjoyable was the combination of theory and practice. After learning the techniques, we wrote our own short stories and shared them with the class. The positive feedback from both the teacher and classmates boosted my confidence significantly.

This lesson was important because it sparked my passion for writing and improved my command of the English language in a meaningful way. It also taught me how to communicate ideas creatively, which has helped me in many other areas.
