Band 7 Answer
I want to talk about a disagreement I had with my friend last year. We disagreed about where to go for a vacation. I wanted to visit the beach, but she preferred the mountains. We both explained our reasons, but we couldn’t agree at first. After talking calmly, we decided to visit a place that had both the beach and mountains nearby. The disagreement wasn’t serious, and we learned to listen to each other more carefully.
Band 8 Answer
I’d like to describe a disagreement I once had with a close friend regarding our vacation plans. I was keen on spending our holiday at a beach resort, while she was more interested in exploring the mountains. Initially, this difference in preferences led to some tension because we both felt strongly about our choices. However, we took the time to calmly discuss our opinions and eventually compromised by choosing a destination that offered both coastal and mountainous attractions. This experience taught me the importance of open communication and flexibility in resolving conflicts without damaging relationships.
