APPS/APPLICATIONS
PART 1
1. Do you often use apps on your phone?
Band 7:
Yes, I use apps almost every day because they make life much easier. For example, I have apps for online shopping, banking, and food delivery. These apps save me a lot of time since I don’t need to go outside for small things. I also use social media apps to stay connected with friends and family. Sometimes I feel I spend too much time on them, but they are really convenient. Without apps, many daily activities would feel more difficult. I think they have become a necessary part of modern life.
Band 8:
I definitely use apps on my phone on a daily basis, as they have become essential tools in modern life. For instance, I regularly use shopping and banking apps, which allow me to complete transactions within seconds. Food delivery and ride-hailing apps are also part of my routine, especially when I’m busy. Social media apps play a big role too, since they help me stay in touch with friends and relatives. Sometimes I feel apps make people too dependent, but the level of convenience they offer is unmatched. In fact, I can’t imagine managing my daily tasks without them. They save time, reduce stress, and provide instant solutions to almost everything.
2. What kinds of apps do you use most?
Band 7:
I mostly use shopping and payment apps because they are very useful for online transactions. Whenever I need to buy clothes, groceries, or even small items, I prefer to order through apps. I also use banking apps to transfer money or pay bills. Another type I often use is social media apps, as they keep me updated and connected with people. Entertainment apps like music and video platforms are also part of my daily routine. Among all these, I think shopping and payment apps are the most important for me.
Band 8:
The apps I use most are shopping and financial apps, mainly because they make online transactions extremely simple. For example, I can buy groceries, clothes, or even electronic items from the comfort of my home. Banking apps are also crucial, as they allow me to pay bills, transfer money, and check balances instantly. Apart from that, I spend time on social media apps to connect with friends and get updates on news and trends. Entertainment apps like streaming platforms are also part of my daily routine. However, if I had to choose, I would say shopping and payment apps are the most important, since they combine convenience with security in a very effective way.
3. Do you prefer shopping online or in stores?
Band 7:
I actually prefer shopping online because it saves time and effort. With apps, I can browse through many products and compare prices easily. It’s also very convenient to get things delivered to my home without traveling. However, sometimes I like to shop in stores, especially for clothes, because I can try them on. Still, most of the time, I use apps for online shopping. They make life simpler and give me more options. For me, online shopping is the best choice in today’s busy life.
Band 8:
Personally, I prefer shopping online, mainly because apps provide convenience and variety. With just a few clicks, I can explore countless products, compare prices, and read customer reviews. Delivery is usually quick, which saves me both time and energy. Of course, in-store shopping has its advantages, especially when I need to check the quality of clothes or other personal items. However, most of my purchases are made online through apps, as they offer better deals and wider choices. I also appreciate the secure payment options provided by modern applications. Overall, online shopping through apps fits perfectly with my lifestyle and busy schedule.
4. Do you think people depend too much on apps nowadays?
Band 7:
Yes, I think people, including myself, depend a lot on apps. Almost everything can be done through them, from buying food to booking tickets. Sometimes it feels like we cannot live without them. I know some people who even order very small things online instead of going outside. It saves time but also makes people less active. Still, apps are very helpful and have become part of daily life. I think balance is important, but dependence is already very high.
Band 8:
In my opinion, people have become highly dependent on apps, and in many ways, it’s unavoidable. We use them for shopping, communication, banking, education, and even health monitoring. While this dependency brings convenience, it also reduces real-life interactions and physical activity. For instance, many people prefer ordering groceries online rather than walking to a nearby store. Although this saves time, it can encourage a sedentary lifestyle. At the same time, I believe that apps are essential in the modern world because they streamline daily tasks. The key is to use them wisely without losing the habit of doing things in person when necessary.
5. How do apps make shopping easier for you?
Band 7:
Apps make shopping much easier because I can buy things anytime without leaving my home. I can search for products, compare prices, and read reviews in just a few minutes. Payment is also simple, since I can use online transactions safely. Delivery is fast, so I don’t have to waste time in traffic or long queues. Sometimes I even get discounts and cashback offers on apps, which is a bonus. Overall, shopping apps save time, money, and effort, which is why I use them often.
Band 8:
Shopping apps have completely transformed the way I buy things by making the whole process effortless. With just a smartphone, I can browse thousands of products, compare prices, and even check ratings from other buyers. This helps me make smarter decisions without spending hours in physical stores. Online transactions are quick and secure, and I can choose from different payment options. Delivery services are usually efficient, bringing items directly to my doorstep. Another big advantage is the exclusive discounts and deals available only on apps. For me, these apps don’t just make shopping easier—they actually make it faster, cheaper, and more enjoyable.
