Band 7 Answer

One time I received good news was last year when I found out that I had passed my final university exams. I was very anxious about the results because I had worked hard but the exams were quite difficult.

I got the news through an official email from the university. When I saw the message, I felt really relieved and happy. I immediately called my parents to share the good news with them.

They were very proud and congratulated me, which made me feel even better. Receiving that good news motivated me to keep working hard for my future goals.

Band 8 Answer

A memorable moment when I received good news was a few months ago, when I was informed that I had been accepted into a prestigious scholarship program to study abroad. I had applied to several scholarships, but this one was very competitive, so I wasn’t sure if I would get it.

The news came via a phone call from the scholarship office, and I remember feeling a mix of excitement and disbelief. I immediately shared the news with my closest friends and family, who were overjoyed and proud of me.

This good news not only boosted my confidence but also opened up new opportunities for personal and academic growth. It was a turning point in my life, and I felt incredibly grateful and motivated to make the most of this chance.
